Faculty admissions
Teach at Hikma.
We admit a small cohort of subject-matter experts each term. If you have spent a career becoming genuinely good at something, we would like to read what you would teach.
Five questions. About ten minutes. No CV upload.
The standard
What we
look for.
We would rather you self-select out than spend a term finding out together.
- 01
Depth in one thing, not breadth across ten
We are looking for the person a team already calls when the problem is hard. One discipline you could be questioned on for an hour beats a portfolio of adjacent interests.
Not: a generalist curriculum assembled from public material.
- 02
Time actually spent doing the work
Practitioners teach differently. We want the judgement that comes from having shipped, treated, audited, built or defended something real — recently enough to still be true.
Not: theory without a track record behind it.
- 03
You can be understood
Teaching is a separate skill from expertise. We look for the ability to take something difficult and hand it over intact — in Arabic, English, or both.
Not: fluency mistaken for clarity.
- 04
A cohort's worth of commitment
Cohorts run to a schedule, with people whose employers are counting on them. We need to know the hours are genuinely there before a cohort opens.
Not: recording a library and moving on.
